I-693 Immigration Medical Exam
An important part of the immigration process is to have a medical exam performed with a USCIS certified Civil Surgeon. Dr. Bluestone and his staff will help guide you through the process and ensure that all parts of the exam and form are properly completed.

What to expect at the Medical Exam?
During your visit, Dr. Bluestone will review your vaccination records, medical history and perform a full medical exam. The necessary lab work (Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Tuberculosis) will be ordered, which can be done at a lab of your choice. Dr. Bluestone will inform you of any vaccinations that you are required to receive.
Typical vaccinations required for adults include: Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Pneumococcal, Influenza (seasonal) and COVID-19.
Lab results typically take 1 week to come back, and once they are received and everything is in order, we will have you come back to the office to finalize and pick up the signed Form I-693. You will receive the certified form in a sealed envelope as required by USCIS and a copy for your own records. Please do not break the seal as it will be rejected by USCIS. The immigration medical exam is valid for 60 days for the purpose of the I-693.
What to bring to your appointment?
